Larry Junior Keeton

Larry Junior Keeton, age 72, of Brinegar Road, Olive Hill, passed away Friday, March 13, 2020, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.

Born March 30, 1947, in Rowan County, he was the son of the late Allen and Florence Kidd Keeton.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three siblings, Donald, Wanda, and Jimmy Ray Keeton.

Larry is survived by his wife of 53 years, Darlene Sloan Keeton; one son, Phillip Keeton and his wife Trina of Morehead; one daughter, Victoria Byers of Olive Hill; and two grandchildren, Trevor and Michaela.

Other survivors include two brothers, David Keeton of Midland and Ronald Keeton of Manitou Beach, Michigan; five sisters, Eula Dillon of Clearfield, Carolyn Jones of Midland, Jane Winkleman and Brenda Lewis, both of Morehead and Linda Moore of Bidwell, Ohio; nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Larry served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.  He had been a heavy equipment operator and a foreman in the coal industry. 

Visitation will be held at the funeral home for family and close friends and graveside services at Sloan Cemetery on Brinegar Road.
