Kristi Lynn Brashear, age 56, of Christy Creek Road, Morehead, passed away Friday, March 21, 2025, at UK St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead.
Born June 15, 1968, in Hamilton, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Swanson and Wanda Ruth Elkins Brashear. Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Larry Duane Jones, on December 19, 2010.
Kristi is survived by her son, Andrew Swanson Jones (Jade) of Morehead; her daughter, Rebecca Gail Hunt (Eric) of Sulphur, Louisiana; her partner, Charlie Lilly of Morehead; bonus son, Blake Lilly of Morehead; bonus daughter, Mayzie Lilly of Vanceburg; and seven grandchildren, Ethan, Noah, Logan, Ivy, Indy, Cecilly, and Cohen.
Other survivors include one brother, Gary Brashear (Estell) of Hamilton, Ohio; one sister, Twana Hess of Morehead; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
Kristi was a former sales associate for Walmart and was currently a mortgage specialist for Wells Fargo. She enjoyed arts and crafts, reading, decorating for the holidays and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She lived life to the fullest in spite of her lifelong battle with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. The wheelchair did not define or hinder Kristi as a person and the wonderful Mother and Nana she was. She will be greatly missed and remembered with love.
Visitation will be Monday, March 24, 2025, from 12 noon until 2 p.m.at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals. A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Mark Caldwell officiating. Burial will follow in Downs Cemetery in Bath County.
Pallbearers will be Pat Elkins, Charlie Lilly, Steve Brashear, Andrew Jones, Blake Lilly, Dave Batterson, John Batterson, and Denver Crouch.
