Kendil DeHart Obituary

 

Kendil “Shannon” DeHart, age 48, of Peachtree Road, Morehead, passed away Saturday, February 6, 2021, at Cabell Hunting Hospital in Huntington, West Virginia.

Born April 2, 1972, in Morehead, he is the son of Maxine Sloan DeHart of Morehead and the late James “Jimmy” L. DeHart.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by one sister, Lena Carpenter of Morehead; one brother, Bobby Dehart of Morgan County; several nieces, nephew, and great nieces and nephews.

Shannon was a hard worker and had been a construction worker most of his life. He was an excellent artist and enjoyed fishing and watching NASCAR.

Graveside services will be conducted 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 10, 2021, at Trent Cemetery on Rainbow Road with the Rev. Tim Rhodes officiating.

Pallbearers: Bobby Dehart, Mickey Thornsberry, Timmy Thornsberry, Richard Carpenter, Kaden Skeens, Jace Skeens, and Richard Stamper.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, February 10, 2021, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.

COVID-19 mandates including masks and social distancing will be observed.
