Justin Phillips Obituary

Justin D. Phillips, age 75, of Rock Fork Road, Morehead, passed away Sunday, May 9, 2021, at his home.

Born April 15, 1946, in Morgan County, he was the son of the late Jesse Boone and Nancy Ann “Nannie” Sargent Phillips.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by four siblings, Don Phillips, Jean Phillips, Wanda Nickell and Anita Tucker.

Justin is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Kay McKenzie Phillips, and their devoted daughter, Justina “Tina” Logan and her husband Kent of Morehead; five grandchildren, Jesse Clark, Nick Logan, Colton Logan, Kaden Logan, and Billy Logan and his wife Anna; and two great grandchildren, Nora Conn and Kamden Logan.

Other survivors include one brother, Richard Phillips and his wife Jean of Clearfield; one sister, Debbie Phillips of Morehead; numerous extended family members including Kay’s brothers and sisters and their children; and his loving caregiver, Ashley Conn.

For a number of years, Justin and Kay owned and operated K’s Furniture. He was an outgoing, friendly person who never met a stranger and enjoyed visiting with all kinds of people. Most of all, however, he cherished his family.  He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and enjoyed spoiling Tina while she was growing up and bestowed that same guidance, love, and attention to his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He will be greatly missed and remembered with love.

At Justin’s request, no services are planned.
