Judy Ellen Ball Whisman, age 72, of Big Bend Locust Road, Hillsboro, passed away Monday, August 2, 2021, at the Fleming County Hospital in Flemingsburg.
Born September 6, 1948, in Fleming County, she was a daughter of the late James Dallas Ball and Ruth Imogene Carpenter Ball. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Danny Ray Whisman on December 23, 2002, and a sister, Angela Carol Ball Bussell.
Judy is survived by her husband of 55 years, Charles Amos Whisman, whom she married April 21, 1966; two daughters, Rebecca Ann Pyles of Flemingsburg and Amy Elizabeth Henderson (David) of Sharpsburg; three grandchildren, Charles Herbert “Chase” Whisman (Mikayla) of Hillsboro, Cody Pyles of Morehead, and Audrey Pyles of Flemingsburg; and two great-grandchildren, Daniel Ray Whisman and Raelynn Whisman, both of Hillsboro.
Other survivors include one brother, James Dallas Ball, Jr. (Helen) of Lexington; two sisters, Brenda Smith and Ruthie Cooper, both of Flemingsburg; several nieces and nephews; and extended family and friends.
Judy was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening and reading. Most of all, she was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Thursday, August 5, 2021, at Hutton Funeral Home with Brother Gerald Saunders officiating. Burial will follow in Hillsboro Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, August 4, 2021, at Hutton Funeral Home, 7634 Hillsboro Road, Hillsboro, KY 41049.
