Judy (Hampton) Ledford

Judy Hampton Ledford, 85, of KY Hwy 519, Morehead, passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead.

Born July 3, 1936, in Menifee County, she was the daughter of the late William H. and Mary Ginter Hampton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Donald Clay Ledford on August 7, 2017, and a brother, Charles Jimmie Hampton on December 14, 2021.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Scott Ledford, whom she married September 29, 1964; a son, Darrell Ledford and wife Rhonda of Morehead; a grandson, Kyle Ledford and wife Stephanie of Morehead; a granddaughter, McKayla Ginter and husband Jacob of Berea; a great grandson, Kooper Ledford; and all of her special caregivers that were like family. She also leaves behind extended family and many friends.

Judy was a homemaker and retired from Ledford’s Grocery in 1995. She enjoyed reading and going on bus tour trips with her son Donald. Judy brought great joy to many and will be greatly missed. 

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Herbert D. Lewis officiating.  Burial will follow in Brown Cemetery.

Pallbearers:  Darrell Ledford, Kyle Ledford, Jimmy Hampton, Larry Hampton, Perry Ray Lewis, and Kevin McKenzie.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, January 21, 2022, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
