Johnny Roberson, age 74, of Ezel, passed away Monday, August 15, 2022, at his home after an extended illness.
Born March 15, 1948, in Frenchburg, he was a son of the late John Estil Roberson and Kathleen Swain Roberson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Kyle Dudley; one granddaughter, Mariah Dudley; two brothers, Gary Roberson and Terry Roberson; and one sister, Sherry Lynn Roberson.
Johnny is survived by his wife of 44 years, Vicky Lynn Wertz Roberson, whom he married December 7, 1977; one son, Jay (Julie) Dudley of Sunman, Indiana; two daughters, Kathy (Greg) Disbro of Manchester, Indiana, and Frankie (Roggie) Harrison of Sunman, Indiana; one brother, Scott (Theresa) Roberson of Hamilton, Ohio; 15 grandchildren, Krystal Peetz, Tia Gray, Randy Gray, Matt Disbro, Colt Disbro, D. J. Disbro, Johni Caylor, Kirsten Harrison, Roggie Kyle Harrison, Aaron Harrison, Sean Harrison, Becca Dudley, Alex Dudley, Kate Dudley, and Kyleigh Dudley; several great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
He retired as a millwright for Ford Motor Company after 30 years of service in Sharonville, Ohio. Johnny was member of UAW Local 863 and held various positions within the union, and was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church in West Liberty, Kentucky.
Johnny moved back to Kentucky on what was part of his grandfather’s farm to enjoy retirement with his family. He enjoyed reading, loving on his dogs, listening to all genres of music, working with his hands, aggravating his loved ones, and especially playing and spending time with his grandchildren. Johnny will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.
Funeral services will be conducted 4 p.m. Saturday, August 20, 2022, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Rev. Fr. G. Marc Bentley presiding.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, August 20, 2022, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
