Joey Lavern Riddle

Joey Lavern Riddle, age 46, of East Cardinal Lane, Clearfield, was born June 21, 1974, in Morehead, and passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2020, at North Audubon Hospital in Louisville.

He is survived by his mother, Robin Wright Robinson of Clearfield; a step brother, Kenneth Douglas Robinson, Jr.; a step sister, Rianna Robinson, both of Morhead; extended family, and friends.

Joey was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Neal Riddle; maternal grandparents, Bobby and Avanell Wright;  paternal grandparents, Lavern and Wanda Riddle; and step father, Kenneth Robinson, Sr. 

Joey graduated from Rowan County Senior High School in 1992.  In college, he majored in psychology and received both bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Morehead State University.  He was a former employee at Hope Hill Children’s Home in Montgomery County and Sunrise Children’s Home in Morehead.  Joey was a caring person who enjoyed visiting with family and friends and spending time with his beloved dog, Cecil.   He will be sadly missed. 

Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday, July 3, 2020, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Cecil Ison and Bro. Roy White officiating.  (Live streaming of the service will begin at 1 p.m. on Northcutt & Son Facebook page.)  Burial will follow in Brown Cemetery.

Pallbearers:  Phillip Alan Owens, Jason Wright, Kyler Wright, Doug Robinson, Addicus Robinson, Roy Conn and Chris Owens.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 2, 2020, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351. 

COVID-19 regulations will be observed.
