Jimmie “Jimbo” Lin Knipp, Jr., age 39, of Caseman Road, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Friday, October 21, 2022, at his home.
Born February 25, 1983, in Morehead, he is the son of Jimmie Lin Knipp, Sr. and Clara Louise Bowling Knipp of Morehead.
In addition to his parents, Jimbo is survived by his wife, Kimberly Rose Wilson Knipp; one daughter, Shelby McDowell; twin sons, Bentley and Brody Knipp; one sister, Kimberly Knipp Caskey and husband Chris; and two brothers, Michael “Mike” Knipp and wife Amanda and Travis Knipp, all of Morehead.
Other survivors include one niece, Layla Perkins; two nephews, Brayden Perkins and Connor Caskey; and numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends.
Jimbo was a former Division of Forestry employee and a former Hayes Crossing-Haldeman Fire Department volunteer. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, and racing cars and go-karts. He loved his family and adored his three precious children. Jimbo will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals with Elder Louis Baier officiating. Burial will follow at the Knipp Family Cemetery on Knipp Road, Morehead.
Pallbearers will be David Knipp, Michael Knipp, Josh Jarvis, J. D. Skeens, Jamie Markwell and Brian Plank.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorial contributions be made to the funeral home to assist with burial expenses.
