Jerry Lee Weaver

Jerry Lee Weaver, age 71, of Crain Creek Road, Wallingford, passed away Friday, January 17, 2020, at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead.

Born May 14, 1948, in Fleming County, he was the son of the late John Emmett Weaver and Irene Ida Ramey Weaver.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Richard “Shane” Weaver, who passed away October 30, 2015; three brothers, Harold, Paul, and Albert Weaver; and three sisters, Delores Weaver, Louise Dailey, and Ruth Hilterbrand.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Conley Weaver; one son, Shannon Weaver and wife Misty of Wallingford; five grandsons, Wesley, Taylor, Tanner, and Devon Weaver and Conner Hazelrigg; and two granddaughters, Shana Weaver and Madison Hazelrigg.

Other survivors include two brothers, Randy Weaver and wife Sandy of Wallingford and Richard Weaver of Columbus, Ohio; one sister, Patricia Rigdon and husband Doug of Hillsboro; numerous extended family members and friends.

Jerry, a U.S. Army veteran, was named the Outstanding Trainee on 15 June 68 and was also recognized as an expert marksman.  He was a former self-employed logger and truck driver.  He enjoyed the outdoors, spending time at the cabin, hunting, driving race cars and 4-wheeling.  Jerry loved his family and especially enjoyed hanging out with his grandsons.  He will be greatly missed by all.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 21, 2020, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Harley Sexton, Jr., Pastor Elijah Sexton, and Brother David Weaver officiating.  Burial will follow in Weaver Cemetery, Weaver Hollow, Wallingford with full military honors by Morehead American Legion Post 126. 

Pallbearers: Scott Thompson, Scott Weaver, Ray Weaver, Vincent Weaver, Nathan Weaver, Daniel Rigdon, and Kent Bruce.  Jerry’s grandsons and nephew Braxton Weaver will serve as honorary pallbearers. 

Visitation is 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, January 20, 2020, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
