Jerry Lee Lewis, age 63, of Trent Ridge, passed away Monday, March 6, 2023, at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead.
He was born October 4, 1959, in Rowan County, and was the son of the late Lenzie Allen Lewis and Hattie Marie Adkins Johnson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronald Eugene Johnson and Raymond Johnson and one great granddaughter, Jayla Brown.
Jerry is survived by one son, Casey Lee Lewis (Amber) of London, Kentucky; one daughter, Heather Marie Lewis (Don Birkbeck) of Barboursville, West Virginia; nine grandchildren; one great granddaughter, Zaylee Jean; and longtime companion, Cheryl Kelsey of Morehead, Kentucky.
Also surviving are two sisters, Judy Buelterman (Bill) and Kathy Trent, all of Morehead, Kentucky; the mother of his children, Marlene Holbrook of Elliott County; several nieces and nephews; and other extended family and friends.
He was logger and enjoyed gardening, being outdoors, hunting, fishing, mowing, and listening and playing Bluegrass music. Jerry will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Thursday, March 9, 2023, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Oscar Riley, Brother Joe Riley, and Pastor Arnold Ison officiating. Burial will follow in Trent-Black Cemetery on Trent Ridge.
Pallbearers will be Casey Lewis, Josh Fraley, Jacob Fraley, Don Birkbeck, Dennis Trent, and Bartholomew Kyriakos.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, March 9, 2023, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
