Jenetta L. Pennington, age 69, of Big Brushy Road, Morehead, passed away Monday, May 25, 2020, at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead.
Born July 28, 1950, in Muncie, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Forest Glen Logan and Famie Elizabeth Easton Logan. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Patricia Ellen Logan, and three brothers, William Glen Logan, Forest Eugene Logan, and Clarence Jackson Logan.
Jenetta is survived by her husband, Gary M. Pennington, whom she married July 3, 1971; one daughter; Mary (Brad) Kegley of Georgetown; one son, Scotty (Blain) Pennington of Louisville; and four grandchildren, Hunter Kegley of Georgetown and Parker, Channing and Hadley Pennington of Louisville.
Other survivors include one brother, Myron Chester “Bud” Logan, Sr. (Carla) of Wallingford; seven sisters, Kathy Karros (Phillip) of Upland, California, Debra Pennington of Morehead, Vivian Karros (Paul) of Smyrna, Tennessee, Connie McIntyre (Jeff) of Cowan, Linda Curtis (Stanley) of Morehead, Vennie Logan (Randy) of Wallingford, and Donna Jelf (Greg) of Lexington, as well as several aunts, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
She also leaves behind her special friends, Marsha Helterbrand of Wallingford and Samantha Gibson of Greenup, whom she considered family.
Jenetta was a clerk and department head at Wal-Mart in Morehead for seven years. In 1995, she became a receptionist for Dr. Don Blair and worked in his office until her retirement. She enjoyed quilting and spending time with her children and grandchildren, whom she adored. She was a member of Muses Mills Christian Church.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, May 30, 2020, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals with Pastor Doug Reeves officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers: Nicky Pennington, John Gibson, Jamie Gibson, Dwane Pennington, Randy Pennington, Jr., and Tyler Biggs.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday, May 30, 2020, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
