Jeffery Norman Jent

On Tuesday, June 15, 2021, Jeffery Norman Jent, son, brother, husband, father, and friend, passed away at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead Kentucky. 

Jeff was born on February 13, 1964, in Muncie, Indiana. Jeff graduated high school at Monroe Central in 1982.  When he was 18 years old, he moved to Kentucky. He was a manager of Kentucky Finance for many years. 

Jeff was well known for his love of fishing and enjoyed frying crappie for the people he loved. He was passionate about riding his motorcycle, gardening, photography, poker playing, and bowling. He was also a collector of pocket knives and coins. 

Jeff enjoyed spending time with the people he loved and if you knew him, he certainly left a lasting impression! 

Jeff is survived by his wife Cindy Jent; daughter Jillian Jent; sister Judy Jent Riddle and her fiancé Clif Buckles (Eaton, Indiana); brother Johnny Jent and his wife Sheri (Dublin, Indiana); and stepsister Karie Moss). In addition to his immediate family, Jeff has many nieces, nephews, and a great niece. 

He was preceded in death by his father Harvey L. Jent Junior; mother Sharon Rosemary Gardner Jent; and sister Julia Ann Jent. 

A gathering of family and friends and a celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, June 19, 2021, at Trinity Christian Fellowship. Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.  with a celebration of life service beginning at 5 p.m. with Pastor Wade Muncy presiding. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Trinity Christian Fellowship, 537 West Main Street, Morehead, KY 40351.
