Janice Louise Fawns Jolly, age 79, of Sunset Road, Hillsboro, passed away Saturday, May 29, 2021, at the U.K. Medical Center in Lexington.
Born April 14, 1942, in Grange City, she was the daughter of the late Ora and Christine Pickrell Fawns. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ronnie Fawns, and her husband, Raymond Howard Jolly, who passed away on January 26, 2003.
Janice is survived by two sons, Timothy Ray Jolly (April Lynn) and Matthew Landon Jolly (Tiffany Jadlowski), all of Hillsboro; three daughters, Patricia Ann Ramey (Phillip) of Hillsboro, Shirl Kay Easton (Richard) of Morehead, and Dana Lynn Crager (Tim) of Flemingsburg; 10 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.
Other survivors include two brothers, Donnie “Hot Shot” Fawns and Bruce Fawns, both of Hillsboro; four sisters, Dixie Craft of Morehead, Pat Dailey of Flemingsburg, Rachel Williams of Maysville, and Bonnie Lou Burris of Hillsboro; one special sister-in-law, Lillian Fawns of Flemingsburg; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
Janice was a homemaker and farmer. For years, while working with the family business, Jolly Fencing, she helped build farm fences for many farmers in Fleming and surrounding counties. She enjoyed the outdoors, fox and deer hunting, tending to her flowers and working in the garden. She also enjoyed cooking for family and friends and most of all spoiling the grandkids.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at Hutton Funeral Home with Pastor Richard Engle and Pastor Willie Skaggs officiating. Burial will follow in Hillsboro Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Curt Fawns, Stephanie Kabler, Mark Ramey, Shawn Duncan, Kyle Crager, Bradley Ramey, and “Hot Shot” Fawns. Honorary Pallbearers: Charlie Crump, Jesse Easton, and Colton Easton.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at Hutton Funeral Home, 7634 Hillsboro Road, Hillsboro, KY 41049.
