Janet Tina Black, age 54, of Pine Ridge Road, Morehead, passed away Friday, May 7, 2021, at U.K. HealthCare in Lexington.
Born April 14, 1967, in Morehead, she was a daughter of the late Gilbert and Louann Link Black. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers: Ranze Black, C. O. Black, Emerson Black, Wilson Black, Jeffrey Black, and Christopher Black; one sister, Clara Spurlock; and one grandson, Dakota Hall.
Tina is survived by three sons, T. J. Curtis and Nancy, Brandon “Bam” Curtis, and Jesse Curtis and Kathy, all of Morehead; three grandchildren, Colton Curtis, Caleb Curtis, and McKinny Grace Smith.
Other survivors include three brothers, Michael Black of Colfax, Bobby Black of Goddard, and Jerry Black of Owingsville; five sisters, Lela Cross of Richmond, Indiana, Verniece Chambers of Corbin, Delphia Holbrook of Hillsboro, Alma Turner of Morehead, and Brenda Hunt of Owingsville; one aunt, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
Tina was a homemaker. She liked to visit with family and friends and enjoyed dancing. Whenever possible, she enjoyed going to church.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, May 10, 2021, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Richard Engle and Pastor Bobby Tackett officiating. Burial will follow in the Johnson Black Cemetery on Ramey Ridge Road, Morehead.
Pallbearers: T. J. Curtis, Brandon “Bam” Curtis, Jesse Curtis, Troy Hurst, Tony Curtis, and Jerry Black.
Visitation will be from 12 noon Monday, May 10, 2021, until the service at 2 p.m. at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
