Obituary
Rev. James W. “Jimmy” Rose, age 99, of Morehead, formerly of Cynthiana, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 24, 2023, at his home.
He was born April 5, 1923, in Olive Hill, and was a son of the late Dr. James Madison Rose and Violette Oda Fultz Rose. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 76 years, Jo Ann Holbrook Rose on June 1, 2022; one son, James David Rose;
two brothers, Dr. Gilbert Rose and Gayle Rose; and one sister, Marjorie Rose Knight.
Mr. Rose is survived by one daughter, Deborah Jo Hudson of Morehead; one sister, Carolyn Sue Rose Wile of Lexington; one granddaughter, Kristen Barnes of Los Angeles, California; one grandson, Michael Houston Rose of Morehead; two great granddaughters, Hallie Barnes and Ella Barnes, both of Ft. Thomas, as well as extended family and many friends.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, March 3, 2023, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals with the Rev. Aaron Mansfield and Chaplain Jesse Perry officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery in Olive Hill.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, March 3, 2023, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
