James Wayne Wilson, age 72, of Rodburn Hollow, Morehead, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2020, at his residence.
Born November 17, 1947, in Elliott County, he was the son of the late Harlan and Bessie Thornsberry Wilson.
He is survived by his wife Ethel “Rita” Crum Wilson; one son, Randy Wilson and wife Brenda; one daughter, Chrissy Moore and husband Michael, all of Elliott County; two sisters, Avanell Maxey of Flemingsburg and Betty Jo Howard of Elliott County; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was a logger and a farmer. Wayne enjoyed raising tobacco, fishing, hunting, watching television, and collecting Case knives.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, July 12, 2020, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Arnold Ison and Brother Clyde Mays, Jr., officiating. Burial will follow in the Wyatt Cemetery, KY 173, Elliott County.
Pallbearers will be Jordan Wilson, Brandon Moore, Tanner Moore, Rick Messer, Chad Black, and Richie Black.
Visitation will be 12 noon to 2 p.m. Sunday, July 12, 2020, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
COVID-19 restrictions will be observed.
