Obituary

James Dee (J. D.) Mabry, age 48, of State Highway 955, Olive Hill, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, April 18, 2010. He was born November 2, 1961, in Boyd County, Kentucky, and is the son of Mary Adkins Mabry of Olive Hill, Kentucky, and Don Albert Mabry, who passed away January 17, 2010. Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife, Linda J. Porter Mabry; one daughter, Jessica Lewis and husband Aaron of Ashland, Kentucky; one son, Jeremiah A. Mabry and wife Melissa of Grayson, Kentucky; two stepsons, Derek Whisman and Andrew James (A. J.) Porter, both of Olive Hill, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Adam DeLane Mabry and Carl Zackary Mabry; and two step grandchildren, Landon Whisman and Alissa Whisman. Other survivors include three brothers and sisters-in-law, Jeffrey A. and Florenia Mabry and Mark A. and Kelly Mabry, all of Mauk Ridge in Elliott County, Kentucky, and Don A. Jr. and Belinda Mabry of Morehead, Kentucky; and one sister and brother-in-law, Mary L. and Johnny Belcher of Pike County, Kentucky. J. D. was a Boilermaker Journeyman with Local 105 in Piketon, Ohio, for more than 25 years. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, April 22, 2010, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Paul Zornes officiating. Burial will follow in Clay Cemetery in Carter County. Pallbearers will be Shawn Mabry, Jeffrey Mabry, Cody Fleming, Chase Fleming, Jeremiah Mabry, and Drew Mabry. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 21, 2009, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, Morehead, Kentucky. Visitation: April 21, 2010, after 5 p.m. Funeral: April 22, 2010, at 2 p.m. Interment: Clay Cemetery, Carter County
