James Jacobs Obituary

 

James Alan “Jimmy” Jacobs, age 41, of Patties Lick Road, Morehead, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2020.

 

Born October 31, 1978, in Barberton, Ohio, he is the son of Larry Dean Jacobs (Judy) of Barberton, Ohio, and Diana Sue Moran Stewart (John) of Flagler Beach, Florida.

 

In addition to his parents, Jimmy is survived by his wife, Stephanie Adkins Jacobs, whom he wed April 27, 2013; three stepchildren, Zackry Adkins and Cody Adkins, both of Barberton, Ohio, and Deanna Byrd of Morehead; four grandchildren, Jacob, Aleah, Abigail, and Alexander Adkins; and one brother, Billy Jacobs of Akron, Ohio, as well as aunts, uncles, extended family and friends. 

 

Jimmy graduated from Manchester High School in 1997.  He moved to Morehead in 2016 and was an employee at Regal Beloit, also known as Sealmaster.  An avid outdoorsman, he greatly enjoyed fishing and disc golfing.  He also had a lifelong love of music and received great joy from playing the guitar and singing.  Jimmy will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered.

 

 A memorial service and inurnment will be held Tuesday, March 17, 2020, at Lakewood Cemetery in Akron, Ohio, with Cecil Farmer officiating.
