James Allen Holbrook, age 54, of Morehead, passed away peacefully Monday, November 24, 2025, at UK – St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead after an extended illness.
Born March 6, 1971, in Morehead, Kentucky, he is the son of Beulah Faye Holbrook and the late Ernest Holbrook. Besides his father, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald Edward Holbrook and Ernest Eugene Holbrook, Jr., and one sister, Deborah Jean Manning.
In addition to his mother, other survivors include two sons, Hunter Holbrook of Mt. Orab, Ohio, and Allen Holbrook of Mt. Sterling; one daughter, Micheala Bailey of Mt. Orab, Ohio; one sister, Lisa Stewart of Morehead; four grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; and other extended family and friends, including a special friend, Rick Milburn.
James was a former employee of Queen City Railroad Construction in Tennessee. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing, collecting small trains, and family get-togethers. He will be forever remembered by family and friends.
At James’ request, no services will be held.
