James Thomas “J. T.” Cope, age 29, of Howards Mill Road, Mt. Sterling, passed away Saturday, January 23, 2021, at the U.K. Medical Center in Lexington from pancreatoblastoma.
Born July 16, 1991, in Montgomery County, he was the son of the late Robin Michelle Cope.
J. T. is survived by his grandmother, Debbie Crump of Mt. Sterling; his grandfather, Gary Cope of Owsley County; two uncles, Jerry Crump and Jeff Crump and wife Brenda of Mt. Sterling; an aunt, Robin Wicker, also of Mt. Sterling; and several cousins.
J. T. was an employee of Cooper Standard in Mt. Sterling and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Owingsville. He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter.
Private services will be held Monday, January 25, 2021, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
