It is with great sadness that the family of Jackie “Allen” Blevins, age 45, of Morehead, announces his sudden passing on Monday, January 25, 2021, at his residence on U.S. 60 East, Morehead.
He was born June 18, 1975, in Morehead to Jaqueline Eriks and the late Wendell Allen Blevins of Morehead. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Harold James Blevins, and stepfather, Irvin Slinker.
Allen will be forever remembered by his mother, Jaquline Slinker of Florida; two sons, Jonathan Blevins and wife Abby Johnson (and their children, Bonnie, Carter, and Desmond) of Morehead and Bentlee Henderson, also of Morehead; two daughters, Devany Blevins of Morehead, and Destiny Barker and husband Tyler (and their son Ryder) of Olive Hill; and a half-sister, Quindelin Conkel-Blevins of Garrison. Allen will also be missed by other relatives and friends.
Allen believed his children were his greatest accomplishment in life. His family knew him as a kind and mild-mannered person who always had a bright smile and loved to be with family or a gathering of friends. He loved nature, working outdoors, sketching, and assembling model cars in his free time.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. His ashes will be buried next to his brother at the Wilburn Cemetery in Olive Hill.
