Jack L. Litton, age 75, of Fairview Drive, Morehead, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.
Born June 3, 1950, in Lexington, he was a son of the late Samuel Joseph Litton, Jr. and Christine Marie Boyd Litton.
Jack is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Brenda Boyd Litton, whom he married on January 31, 1970; one son, Scott Litton of Morehead; one daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Joe Fraley of Plummers Landing; one brother, Joe (Kathy) Litton of Georgetown; and one sister, Charlotte Litton of Morehead; and other extended family members and friends who loved him dearly.
A 1968 graduate of Rowan County High School, Jack went on to earn his bachelor’s degree from Morehead State University in 1973. He retired as a right of way supervisor from the Kentucky Department of Transportation after 34 years of dedicated service.
Jack loved traveling with his wife, Brenda, and cherished time spent with his family. Jack had a special place in his heart for animals—his horses brought him great joy, and he especially enjoyed spoiling his barn cats. He also enjoyed relaxing with a cup of coffee while watching Saturday morning cartoons or classic Westerns. His presence was a blessing to all who knew him, and he will be deeply missed.
Private funeral services will be conducted Sunday, November 23, 2025, at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with son-in-law, Joe Fraley officiating.
Pallbearers will be: John Deharte, Rick Litton, Brett Litton, Eddie Sluss, Tom Sluss, Tom Lewis, Jeff Workman, and Tony Workman.
There will be no public visitation.
Arrangements are under the direction of Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
