J. M. Lambert

J. M. Lambert, age 92, of Clearfield, passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at UK St. Claire Hospital in Morehead.

He was born June 17, 1932, in Morgan County, a son of the late Vincent and Mary Ratcliff Lambert.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Jean Skeen Lambert on August 22, 2020; six sisters, Darlene Lambert, Kathleen Cundiff, Helen Riddle, Bonnie Dillon, Bethel Lissel, and Faye Lambert; and four brothers, Ivan, Ray, Warren, and Clay Lambert.

J.M. is survived by one son, James A. Horton of Hillsboro; one sister, Roberta Smedley of Sabina, Ohio; special caregiver, Kathy Fultz of Morehead; and two dear friends, Teddy Wright of Clearfield and Joe Kerns of Hillsboro.

As a licensed land surveyor for more than 50 years, J. M. was passionate about his work. He was of the Christian faith and enjoyed walking and fishing.

Graveside services and interment will be Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with Pastor Cecil Ison officiating.  At J. M.’s request, there is no visitation.
