Inez Jean DeWitt Caudill, age 89, of Sharkey Road, Morehead, passed away Friday, May 22, 2020, at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead.
Born October 26, 1930, in Gary, Indiana, she was a daughter of the late George Everett DeWitt and Nervie Eldridge DeWitt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six sisters.
Inez’s husband of 53 years, Emil “Dockie” Caudill, passed away June 9, 1998, and a son, Cleo Caudill, in 1958.
She is survived by two sons, Ronnie Caudill and Danny Caudill and his wife Jacquelyn, all of Morehead; two daughters, Glenda Sue Webb and her husband Jim of Denton, Texas, and Cathy Dyer and her husband John of Ripley, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.
Other survivors include one sister, Geraldine Roe of Lexington; nieces and nephews; extended family and friends.
Inez was a former employee of Cowden Mfg., Life Care Center of Morehead, and Morehead Tobacco Warehouse. She was a devoted homemaker and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. A member and former president of Sharkey Homemakers Club, she enjoyed various arts and crafts, crocheting, and pottery. A devout Christian and long-time member of Mt. Pisgah Christian Church, Inez had been a Sunday school teacher and held various other leadership positions. She will be greatly missed and her memory cherished by family and dear friends.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2020, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Jack Hinton officiating. (Those who wish to participate may join live streaming of the service at 11 a.m. on Northcutt & Son Facebook page.) Burial will follow in Caudill Cemetery at Sharkey.
Visitation will be from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2020, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
