Hurman Ray Jennings, age 74, of Oak Grove Road, Morehead, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2020, at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead.
He was born August 24, 1945, in Rowan County, a son of the late Dorsie Clarence Jennings and Leona Riddle Jennings. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Louvon Mabry Jennings on December 20, 2012, and his brother, Ivan Jennings.
Hurman is survived by a daughter, Loretta Jean Barker and husband Terry of Morehead; two grandchildren, Justin Barker and Evan Barker; two sisters, Edna Lykins of Olympia and Dena Jennings of Morehead; several nieces and nephews; other relatives; and friends.
He was a former sawmiller, logger, and truck driver. Hurman enjoyed spending time with family and flea marketing.
Graveside services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, July 25, 2020, at the Mabry-Kegley Cemetery in Elliott County with Brother David Carter officiating.
Pallbearers: Brian Dillon, Versel Dillon, Rick Baker, Kevin Baker, Randy Holbrook, and Jeff Lykins. Honorary pallbearer: Rodney Holbrook.
COVID-19 restrictions will be observed as set forth by the state.
