It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Hope Waddell Lambert, a beloved resident of Morehead, Kentucky, who entered eternal rest on Thanksgiving Day, November 28, 2024, at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. Hope, as she was affectionately known, suffered a stroke during Sunday service at Grace Assembly of God, where she had devoted her life to her faith and community.
Hope was born to the late Paul Revere Waddell and Violet Estell Clemens Ryan. A cherished sister to Jewell Seekford, Jacqueline Mook, and Nancy Felsing, deceased sister Donna Friend and deceased brother James Ryan. She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion as a mother to her ten children, who will forever carry her spirit within their hearts. Among those by her side during her final moments were six of the children, a testament to the unbreakable bonds she shared with her family. Surviving children are Anna Marie Fitzgerald, James Flemming, Raymond Seekford, Karen Lambert, Paul Lambert, Robert Lambert, and Jill Lambert. The deceased children are Ladona Milligan, Monty Lambert Jr. (Buddy), Joseph Lambert.
As a grandmother, Hope was a radiant light in the lives of her 23 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren, five generations, imparting wisdom and unconditional love that will resonate for generations to come. She was a woman of profound faith, strength, and compassion, who’s vibrant personality touched everyone she encountered.
Throughout her life, Hope demonstrated an unwavering commitment to her church and community, making lasting friendships and providing support for those in need. Her laughter, kindness, and unwavering faith were a source of inspiration to many.
Hope’s departure leaves a void that can never be filled, but her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. We celebrate her lifetime of love, sacrifice, and faith, and we find comfort knowing she is now at peace in her heavenly home.
Rest in peace, dear Hope. Your light will forever shine in our hearts.
