Harding Bertram “Dewey” Bond, Jr., age 81, of Fox Run Road, Morehead, passed away Sunday, January 3, 2020, at his residence.
Born June 17, 1939, in South Beloit, Illinois, he was a son of the late Harding Bertram Bond, Sr. and Frances Dabney Bond. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Lyle Bond.
Dewey is survived by two sons, Brandon Jay Bond of Haughton, Louisiana, and Justin Cray Bond of Morehead; one daughter, Kristen Russell of Morehead; six grandchildren, Trevor Bond, Mia Bond, Alex Torrens, Kayleigh Bond, Matt Bond, and Alex Pickard; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and other extended family survive.
He served in the U.S. Army during Desert Storm from 1989 to 1991 and was a retired geriatric social worker in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Dewey was a devout Roman Catholic and was a Hospice volunteer at Luther Manor in Milwaukee for 20 years. He was an avid ham radio operator and enjoyed bowling.
A memorial service will be held at a later date and interment will be at the Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
