Hager Ousley, age 83, passed away Thursday, June 16, 2022, at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead, Kentucky.
He was born March 1, 1939, in Hardin County, Ohio, to the late Alonzo and Josie (Prater) Ousley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Mae “Penny” Hardin Ousley on November 30, 2009; one brother, Elmer Ousley; and five sisters, Vernie Robinson, Stella Rose, Eunice Price, Melba Puckett, and Lois Speicher.
Hager is survived by two daughters, Connie (Rick) Gochenour of Fayette, Ohio, and Jennifer (Beth) Shenefield of LaFontaine, Indiana; five grandchildren, Shawn (Carey) Gochenour, Andrew (Erica) Gochenour, Justin (Ashley) Lewis, Drew (Madelyn) Lewis, and Olivia (Ryan) Milby; and ten great grandchildren, Chloe, Zane, Ascher, Norah, Tray, Aiden, Grayson, Ione, Avery, and Elayna.
Also surviving is one brother, Adice “Bud” (Helen) Ousley of South Dakota; one sister, Judy (Chuck) Wireman of Alger, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 20, 2022, at Brown Cemetery in Morehead where Hager resided. Pastor Anthony Molihan will officiate. Memorial contributions are suggested to Dementia Society of America.
