Gregory “Buck” Keeton, age 68, of Rock Fork Road, Morehead, passed away Thursday, February 6, 2025, at UK-St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead.
He was born September 7, 1956, in West Liberty, KY, the son of David Clyde Keeton of Somerset, KY, and the late Ivory Adkins Keeton.
In addition to his father, Buck is survived by one daughter, Kayla Keeton Brown (Tyler) of Morehead; one son, Ethan Colt Keeton (Codi Brodt) of West Union, Ohio, Kim Keeton of Richmond, KY, and four grandchildren, Avery, Reid, Scottie, and Bella.
Other survivors include his sister, Nancy Wheeler, of Sandy Hook, KY, nieces and nephews, other extended family, and friends.
Besides his mother, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ricky Keeton, and a sister, Judy Stinson.
Buck was a union pipefitter and had been a horse farrier for more than 50 years. He was a great outdoorsman and loved horses, hunting, tinkering with small engines and boats. He also had a great sense of humor and enjoyed dancing and storytelling. Buck loved his family and especially treasured spending time with his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed and remembered always.
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 11, 2025, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, with a celebration of life beginning at 3 p.m. with Pastor Matt Richardson presiding.
Interment will follow at Estep Cemetery with Paul Simmons, Jerry Bowen, Rick Logan, Ronnie White, Tyler Brown and Ethan Keeton serving as pallbearers.
