Mrs. Glenna Faye Hinton, age 72, born March 17, 1948, in Oneida, Tennessee, entered into eternal rest, surrounded by her loved ones, on Monday, June 1, 2020, at her home in Olive Hill, where she resided for the past 43 years.
Glenna was the daughter of the late Mary Criswell Plante and Raymond Plante. She was raised in Walled Lake, Michigan, with her brothers, Rodney Plante of Panama City, Florida, Henry Moore of Washington State, and the late Robert “Bobbi” Plante.
In addition to her brothers, she is survived by her husband of 52 years, Vaughn Allen Hinton, whom she married January 27, 1968; five daughters, Lavon Oakley (companion, Mike), Cassie (Albert) Spencer, Bridget (Danny) Cline, all of Olive Hill, Brandy (Clifford) Logan of Morehead, and Shawnte (Matthew) Stickler of Mt. Sterling; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
She attended cosmetology school in Dayton, Ohio, and had worked various jobs throughout her young life. Glenna was of the Catholic faith and will be most notably remembered as an avid Elvis Presley fan.
Glenna was an exceptional, devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who made unconditional sacrifices for her family. She saw the extraordinary in ordinary people. Glenna lived a humble life; her life story will live on through her imprint of love and compassion bestowed to her family.
Funeral services will be conducted 12 p.m. Thursday, June 4, 2020, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Arturo Molina officiating. Burial will follow at the Hinton Cemetery in Soldier, Kentucky.
Pallbearers: Billy Oakley, Danny Cline, Clifford Logan, Matthew Stickler, Danny Allen Cline, and Billy Oakley II. Honorary pallbearers: Dalton Logan, Isaac Logan, and Reese Stickler.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to noon Thursday, June 4, 2020, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
