Geneva King, age 88, of Morehead, went home to be with the Lord on January 15, 2020, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset.
Geneva was born on May 30, 1931, to the late Rosier Koger (1902-1979) and Bonnie (Lewis) Hilton (1909-1997). Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Teddy Wayne Day (1950-2013) of Morehead, KY; two grandsons, Johnny Turner of Dayton, OH, and Timmy Smith of Alton, IL; one granddaughter, Crystal Turner of Dayton, OH; seven brothers, Herman, Porter, and Odell Koger, all of Dayton, OH and Ray, Kelly, Don and Odean Koger, all of Cumberland, KY; two sisters, Opal Faye Koger of Hazel Green, KY and Linda Coots of Cumberland, KY.
Geneva is survived by two sisters, Lorena Damron of Louisville, KY and Barbara Callahan (E. J.) of Herron, IL; nine children, Nadine Reedy of Morehead, KY, Ronnie Day (Jenny) of Tallahassee, FL, Faith (Blaine) Layne of Pikeville, KY, Johnny Blair of Connecticut, Lonnie (Barb) Lewis of Eaton, OH, Lolita Blair of Alton, IL, Danny Blair of Morehead, KY, Chloie (Eddie) Hall of Berea, KY and April (Willis) Boggs of Cumberland, KY; 16 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
Geneva was a lifelong member of the Pentecostal Faith. She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed quilting, playing the guitar, painting, and writing music.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, January 20, 2020, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with her grandson-in-law Scott Tipton officiating. Burial will follow in the Hazel Green Cemetery, Hazel Green, KY.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Monday, January 20, 2020, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
