Gary Lee Richardson, 76, of Lexington, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, September 25, 2021, surrounded by his loving family.
Gary was born on May 16, 1945, in Morehead, Kentucky, to the late Vernard Arvil Richardson and Dorothy Jane (Walters) Richardson Winters.
Throughout his youth, Gary developed a love of art, Latin and Greek history, and theater. After graduating from Montgomery County High School in 1965, Gary joined the United States Air Force, where he served for 4 years.

He was humorous and spirited, and Gary was determined to support his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. He was unendingly proud of Chara, Rachel, and Carol, and always tried his best to support them. He leveraged his carpentry skills to build an ornate dollhouse, taught his daughters how to use tools, and shared his love of art and literature.
Also important to Gary was his faith, and he was an active member of the Russell Cave Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Gary was predeceased by his brothers, Robert Richardson and Phillip Winters, and his parents.
