Gary Mitchell Fultz, age 70, of Quisenberry Road, Morehead, passed away Thursday, August 28, 2025, at UK – St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead.
Born June 26, 1955, in Martinsburg, West Virginia, Gary was a son of the late Talmadge Fultz and Ruby Nicholson Fultz. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Dale Fultz and John Fultz; and a nephew, Adam Borror.
Gary is survived by one son, James Fultz (Jody) of Wayne, West Virginia; two daughters, Deanna Mason (Bryan) of Owingsville, and Bobbie Jo Willoughby of Mt. Sterling; four grandchildren, Robert Mason, Nichole Mason, Desi Parkinson, and Lannie Parkinson; three great grandchildren, Abel Mason, Haley Mason, and Mae Mae Bowling; his companion, Karen Wagner of Morehead; and three bonus grandchildren, Ali, Tucker, and Titus Shay.
Other survivors include one brother, Greg Fultz of Grayson; two sisters, Regina Fultz and Robin Fultz, both of Port Clinton, Ohio; several nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as other extended family and friends.
Gary was a retired locomotive engineer for Watco Railroad Company based out of Reform, Alabama, and was as self-employed brick mason.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to flea markets, and especially spending time with his grandbabies. Gary will be remembered always and greatly missed.
Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, September 1, 2025, at Fultz Cemetery on Oak Grove Road, Morehead with Brother Harold Ashcraft officiating.
