Garnett Jean (Manning) Brandenburg

Garnett Jean Manning Brandenburg, age 76, of Rawcel Heights, Morehead, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, January 16, 2025, at UK-St. Claire Medical Center in Morehead. 

She was born March 21, 1948, in Fleming County, and was a daughter of the late Glenn Charles Manning and Rosemary “Rose” Prince Manning. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Glenda Manning.

Garnett is survived by one daughter, Beverly “Nikki” Gambill (Tyler Sargent) of Clearfield; three grandchildren, Courtney Moore, Gracie Gambill, and Steven Gambill; one nephew, Chris Manning; and other extended family and friends.

Garnett retired as office manager for Pathways, with more than 30 years of service. She was a former employee for Morehead State University and was private caregiver for several families.  Garnett was a graduate of the Fleming County High School.

She loved the Lord and would read her Bible daily. Garnett liked listening to music and spending time with her grandchildren. When she was able, she enjoyed cooking with her daughter and granddaughter. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. 

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Friday, January 24, 2025, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.  A celebration of life will be held immediately following at 12 p.m. with Brother Alton Norman officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation be made to Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351, to assist with funeral expense.
