Freddie Gene Robinson

Freddie Gene Robinson was born in Morehead, Kentucky on May 13, 1937. He passed from this world on January 9th, 2021, after a courageous and hard fought battle with COVID-19 pneumonia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Lola Robinson. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Nancy Sue Robinson; one brother, Jimmy, and his wife Rosemary; his former wife, Phyllis Robinson, and their three children, Cathy Robinson Couch and her husband Steve, Randall Robinson and Daniel Robinson; nine grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, as well as his beloved husky, Mayhem.

He served in the United States Air Force and continued serving in the reserves as a Lt Colonel. He taught middle school in Xenia, Ohio and at River Valley Middle School in Jeffersonville, Indiana. He attended the First Southern Baptist Church in Clarksville, Indiana. He was an avid traveler, enjoyed going on cruises and shared this passion of traveling with his family. He was a connoisseur of the finer things in life - peanut butter and chocolate. He loved God, family, country, Mayhem and peanut butter cups, in that order. He will be missed not only by his family but by his friends and all who knew him.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 12, 2021 from 1PM to 3PM at Legacy Funeral Home, 921 Main Street in Jeffersonville, Indiana. A graveside service with military honors will be held in Morehead, Kentucky. Contributions may be made in his honor to the American Legion.
