Frances Marie Gearheart Conn, age 74, of Pleasant Valley, Morehead, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at UK St. Claire Hospital in Morehead.
Born February 21, 1950, in Rowan County, Frances was a daughter of the late Floyd Gearheart and Waneda Collins Gearheart. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Nancy Gearheart and Goldie Kimery.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Leonard Conn, whom she married June 20, 1987; two children, Robert Sergent and Michelle Johnson, both of Morehead; two grandchildren, Daniel Johnson and Destiney Johnson McKnight; five stepchildren, Steve Conn (Denise), Freddie Conn (Donna), Howard Conn (Norma), Danny Conn (Jeanie), and Rita Moore (Greg), all of Olive Hill; 10 step grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.
Other survivors include one brother, Johnny Gearheart of Morehead; three special best friends, Jackie Weaver, Robin Wright Robinson, and Connie Carter; a host of nieces and nephews; and other extended family and friends.
Frances retired from Cintas in Owingsville and was a former cook at Morehead State University. She attended Flat Fork Church of God in Olive Hill.
Frances enjoyed reading, traveling, attending church, caring for her animals, and when she was able, she looked forward to going shopping. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially with the grandchildren. Frances will be greatly missed for her love and kindness to all who knew her.
At her request, there will be no visitation or funeral services.
