Famie Logan Obituary

 

Famie Elizabeth Easton Logan, age 89, of Big Run Road, Wallingford, passed away Friday, November 22, 2019,

 

Born July 25, 1930, at Waltz, in Rowan County, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Nannie Kirk Easton.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Forest Glen Logan, whom she married November 16, 1949; four children, Patricia Ellen Logan, William Glen Logan, Forest Eugene Logan, and Clarence Jackson Logan; one grandson, Myron Chester “Chet” Logan, Jr.; one great grandson, Keifer Rawlings Bentley; one great granddaughter, Vanessa Marie Logan; and six siblings, Emerson Easton, Wilmer Easton, Orene Easton, Doris Early, Inez Combs, and Jewell Newkirk.

 

She is survived by one son, Myron Chester “Bud” Logan, Sr. (Carla) of Wallingford; eight daughters, Jenetta Pennington (Gary) of Morehead, Kathy Karros (Phillip) of Upland, California, Debra Pennington of Morehead, Vivian Karros (Paul) of Smyrna, Tennessee, Connie McIntyre (Jeff) of Cowan, Linda Curtis (Stanley) of Morehead, Vennie Logan (Randy) of Fleming County, and Donna Jelf (Greg) of Lexington; 27 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.

 

Other survivors include three sisters, Anna Mae Fultz (Jim) of Olive Hill, Nellie Ellis of Owingsville, and Linda Caudill (Dean) of Lagrange, Indiana; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and an abundance of friends.

 

Elizabeth started carrying mail on horseback in the mid-forties and worked for the mail service for the next five years.  She loved her job and enjoyed horseback riding most of her adult life.  She also loved gardening, quilting, and her family, especially the grandchildren, as well as her Charity Freewill Baptist Church family.  She will be greatly missed.

 

Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, November 24, 2019, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals with Pastor Robert Kidd officiating. Burial will follow in Hogge Cemetery.

 

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers: Scotty Pennington, Nicky Pennington, Dougie Pennington, Anthony Pennington, Randy Pennington, Bradley McIntyre, Aaron McIntyre, Travis Curtis, Devon Weaver and Gabe Logan.

 

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, November 23, 2019 at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
