Obituary

Everett Ray Bentley, age 73, of Morehead, passed away Monday, April 24, 2023, at St. Clarie HealthCare in Morehead.

Born February 28, 1950, in Rowan County, he was a son of the late Quiller and Lacie Vada Bentley.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Lee Bentley and Earnest Bentley, and one sister, Hazel Coldiron.

Everett is survived by his wife 53 years, Beverly Sue Atkins Bentley, whom he married October 4, 1969; two brothers, Sanford Bentley of Clearfield and Elijah Bentley of Winter Haven, Florida; two sisters, Carolyn Adams (Mitchell) of Morehead and Stella Markwell of Clearfield; several nieces and nephews; and other extended family and friends.

He graduated from Rowan County High School in 1969. Everett retired from Classic Rattan, Inc. in Nicholasville after 30 plus years as a furniture designer and builder. He enjoyed nature, being outdoors, wood working, and making banjos and dulcimers.  Everett will be missed by those who knew and loved him.

There will be no visitation and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
