Eula Alice (Oney) Adkins

Eula Alice Oney Adkins, age 94, of Morehead, passed away Friday, January 7, 2022, at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead.

Born May 4, 1927, in Rowan County, she was the daughter of the late Everett and Louella Thomas Oney. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 10 siblings, Edmond Oney, Hildreth Hoover, Margaret Turner, Lillian Blevins, Edna Ferguson, Junior Oney, Fay McGraw, Carl Oney, Barbara Oney, and Elenore Oney.

Eula was also preceded in death by her husband, Everett Adkins on July 14, 2005, and one son, Everett Wayne Adkins on April 25, 1996.

She he is survived by three grandsons, Kenneth (Nikki) Adkins of Winchester, Eric Adkins of Grayson, and Joe David Adkins of Morehead; a step-grandson, Toby Kronmueller of Morehead; 10 great grandchildren; a brother, Ervin (Jewell) Oney of North Carolina; a sister, Teddy Oney of New Castle, Indiana; and a host of nieces and nephews that she loved as they were her own children and they loved her as much.

Eula was a homemaker and was a member of Haldeman Church of God. She loved caring for her family, attending church and singing in the choir, and cooking, especially making chicken and dumplings for her family and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Thursday, January 13, 2022, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Bobby Day officiating.  Burial will follow in New Sill Cemetery.

Family will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. January 13, 2022, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
