Eugeneia Sue (Barker) Winkleman

Eugeneia Sue Barker Winkleman, age 60, of Sandy Hook, Kentucky, passed away September 4, 2024, at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky. 

Born June 15, 1964, in West Liberty, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Tennyson Barker and Betty Adkins Barker.  Besides her parents, he was preceded in death by one infant son, James Daniel Barker; two sisters, Shelvia Barker and Reatha Adkins; and her husband, Floyd Dale Winkleman, who passed away December 20, 2018. 

She is survived by one daughter, Elizabeth Winkleman of Sandy Hook, Kentucky; one son, Dalen Winkleman of Richmond, Kentucky; and two grandchildren, Erin Winkleman and Jaley Winkleman.

Other survivors include three sisters, Phyllis Adkins, Peachie Barker, and Donn Sloas, all of Sandy Hook, Kentucky; four brothers, Harry Barker, Darrell Barker, John Barker, and Jerry Barker, all of Sandy Hook, Kentucky, nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends. 

Eugeneia was a Certified Nursing Assistant and had worked at several nursing homes and St. Claire Regional Medical Center.  She loved gardening, cooking, and “drinking her coffee.”  She will be greatly missed by her devoted family and friends.
