Etta Mae Donahue Brown, age 90, of Eastwood Heights, Morehead, passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2021.
Born December 11, 1930, in Morgan County, she was a daughter of the late Crystal and Lorene Staton Donahue. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, John David Donahue, and three sisters, Hazel Melton, and two infant sisters, Mary Sue Donahue and Martha Elizabeth Donahue.
Etta was also preceded in death by her husband, James Arthur Brown on October 10, 1999; a daughter, Leah Jeanette Brown Nunley on May 20, 2017; and a granddaughter, Talia Norris on November 1, 2012.
She is survived by a daughter, Debra “Gail” Nunley of Morehead; two sisters, Wanda Gilley of Morehead and Naomi Moore Harris and husband Lloyd of West Liberty; three grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Etta was a homemaker and former employee of the Sundry Store in Morehead. She enjoyed her family and friends and spending time with her dog, “Little Bit,” who passed away December 3, 2020. She was a member of Clearfield Tabernacle First Church of God.
Private funeral services will be held Friday, March 5, 2021, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Cecil Ison officiating. For those who wish to watch virtually, the service will be livestreamed on Northcutt & Son Facebook page beginning at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Clearfield Cemetery.
There is no visitation.
