Estle Earl Kelsey, age 84, of Pleasant Valley, Morehead, passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead after an extended illness that he fought to the very end.
He was born January 2, 1938, in Rowan County, and was a son of the late Willie Crayton Kelsey and Zona Elizabeth Brown Kelsey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Johnny Frank Kelsey, Dale Edward Kelsey, Willie Cecil “Boo” Kelsey, and Homer Harold “Pete” Kelsey.
Estle is survived by his wife of nearly 55 years, Judy Gail Crawford Kelsey; a son, Wesley Earl Kelsey of Morehead; one brother, Larry Dean Kelsey of Morehead; five sisters, Anna Lucy Gover and husband Oakley of Somerset, Gail Jean Chapman of Morehead, Jo Ann Bazell and husband Gary, Cheryl Lynn McDaniel and husband Alden, all of Kits Hill, Ohio, and Debbie Sue Logan of South Point, Ohio; a special couple he considered like family, Nathan Williams and wife Dakota of Morehead; several nieces and nephews; and extended family and friends.
Estle was a retired truck driver for Union Boiler Trucking Company and Ashland Oil Refinery. He was a devoted husband and father whose greatest joy came from his family. He enjoyed woodworking, taking family drives, fishing, and watching Westerns, especially Gun Smoke. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, August 19, 2022, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Gerald Saunders officiating. Burial will follow in the Brown Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Wesley Kelsey, Robert Kelsey, Adrianna Kelsey, Tim Chapman, Mark Chapman, Lori Gail Hardin, and Andrew Helton.
Visitation is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, August 18, 2022, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 403
