Essie Mae Henderson Wilder, 83, of Wilder Lane, Owingsville, passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2020, at her residence.
Born December 28, 1936, in Morgan County, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Leona Parks Henderson. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Randall James Wilder, a grandson, Benjimen Lee “Ben” Wilder; six brothers, Richard, Bill, Frank, Ollie, Leslie, and Paul Henderson; and five sisters, Lucille Polson, Evelyn Notestine, Debbie, Wanda, and Gloria Jean Henderson.
Mrs. Wilder is survived by a son, Josh Henderson (Michele); a daughter, Jessica Shannon (Kavin), all of Owingsville; 11 grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
Other survivors include three sisters, Violet Dilts of South Bend, Indiana, Minnie Brooks of Jeffersonville, and Marilyn Shepherd of Jeffersonville; extended family and friends.
She was a homemaker and attended New Cut Road Pentecostal Holiness Church. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, taking care of others, and especially spending time with her family. She will be sadly missed.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, August 1, 2020, at New Cut Road Pentecostal Holiness Church with Chad Curran and Jeff Lawson officiating. Burial will follow in the Family Cemetery on Henderson Road.
Pallbearers: Johnny Montjoy, Jeff Lawson, Andrew Henderson, Matt Myers, Tad Henderson, and Jon Henderson.
Visitation is after 5 p.m. Friday, July 31, 2020, at New Cut Pentecostal Holiness Church in Jeffersonville.
COVID-19 restrictions as set forth by the state will be observed.
