Ernest L. Burbank

Ernest L. Burbank, age 84, of Morehead, passed away Sunday, August 24, 2025, at UK-St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead.

Born January 26, 1941, in Toledo, Ohio, and was the son of the late Ernest K. Burbank and Ruth Harden Burbank.

Ernest is survived by his wife of 63 years, Barbara J. Hinton Burbank; one daughter, Dawn Burbank (Steve) of Toledo, Ohio; one son, Rodney Burbank (Kelly) of St. Clair Shores, Michigan; two grandchildren, Cory Burbank and Jacob Burbank (Shelby); one great grandson, Zachary Burbank; a special aunt and uncle, Mable and Kenny Adkins of Morehead, as well as other extended family and friends.

He was a retired supervisor for Dana Incorporated in Ohio and Michigan. Ernest enjoyed being outdoors and fishing. Ernest was most proud of participating in a diabetes study with the University of Michigan. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten.

Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funeral Memorial Chapel with Pastor Willie Sturgill officiating. Burial will follow in Mabry Cemetery of Knipp Hollow Road, Morehead.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
