Elvis Ray Middleton, age 59, of Rock Fork Road, Morehead, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at U.K. Medical Center in Lexington.
Born December 26, 1962, in Flemingsburg, he was a son of the late Wilma Jean Johnson Middleton and Earsel Ray Middleton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Eloise Middleton Humphries, and one nephew, Dustin Randall Conn.
Elvis is survived by his wife of 36 years, Kimberly “Bright Eyes” Easton Middleton, whom he married August 10, 1985; one son, Shane Ray Middleton and wife Amy of Morehead; one daughter, Kaycie M’Lyn Middleton Fields and husband Josh of Ocilla, Georgia; a granddaughter, Maddisynn Middleton; and a grandson, Brantley Porter.
Other survivors include three siblings, Brenda (Michael) DeRossett of Winchester, Jackie (Brenda) Middleton of Hillsboro; and Lisa (Durke) Masse of Lexington; two chosen daughters, Jacki Botts and Kristi Roberson, both of Salt Lick; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles; and other extended family and friends.
He was the owner and operator of Daniel Boone Pallet Company and was a 1982 graduate of National Hardwood Lumber Association in Memphis, Tennessee. Elvis loved watching U. K. basketball, vacationing with his family, his Blue Healer, Daisy, and especially spending time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed working with his family at the pallet company. He will be forever missed and remembered with love.
Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Sunday, July 24, 2022, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Joe Cline, Pastor Willie Skaggs, Jr., and Brother Josh Hawk officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers: Shane Middleton, Maddisynn Middleton, Brantley Porter, Tyler Woods, Blake Woods, Kent Logan, Devon Botts, Jason Barnes, Alex Fox, and Brandon Stacy.
Honorary pallbearers: Robert Easton, Doug Easton, Jackie Middleton, Richard Quillen, Kevin Ashley, Jacki Botts, Kristi Roberson, Zoe Woods, Layne Stephens, Dylan Stephens, Chris Porter, Chad Humphries, Nelson Humphries, Michael Derossett, and Durke Masse.
Visitation is from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, July 24, 2022, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
