Edward Gearhart Obituary

Edward Powell Gearhart, age 61, of Bearskin Hollow, Morehead, passed away Saturday, January 29, 2022, at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead.

Born April 13, 1960, in Rowan County, he was the son of the late Emmitt “Jack” Gearhart and Dorthy Ferguson Gearhart. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two nephews, James Christian and Michael Christian.

Ed is survived by two sisters, Debra Russell and Donna Christian, both of Morehead, as well as nieces and nephews, Lisa Evans, Wade Clevenger, Dylan Clevenger, Daniel Clevenger, Kylee Evans, and Aaron Christian.

He was a former bricklayer and when his health permitted, he enjoyed riding horses.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351 with a graveside service immediately following at Gearhart Cemetery in Carter County.
