Drue Anthony Triggs

Drue Anthony Triggs, age 30, of Morehead, passed away Monday, November 4, 2024, in Jamestown, Ohio, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Born April 1, 1994, in Wilmington, Ohio, he was the son of the late David Raymond Triggs and Diana Lynn Estep Triggs.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Ray Estep and Helen Tanner, and paternal grandparents, Marvin and Patsy Triggs.

Drue is survived by three children, Diana Triggs (9), David Triggs (5), and Piper Triggs (2); the mother of his children, Megan Triggs of Morehead; one sister, Devin Triggs; one brother, Tyler Brandenburg (Carissa); three nieces, Sophia, Taylor, and Olivia; an aunt, Pam Stringer (Dale) of Damon, Texas; an uncle, Doug Triggs of Billings, Montana; like a father who helped raise Drue, Douglas “Pops” Edington of Alabama; other extended family and friends.

He graduated from Maysville Technical College with a welding degree and was employed by Local Union 110 as a welder.  Drue was baptized at the Ringos Mill Baptist Church in Hillsboro.

Drue was an outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, hanging out with friends, and spending time with his children.  He had a love for music, especially oldies and classic rock, and you could always catch him singing every single word. He had a contagious laugh and was funny guy. He will be remembered as a wonderful father, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. Drue will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351. A celebration of life will follow immediately at 7 p.m. with Brother Ricky Hackney officiating.
