Dorothy Jean (Stidham) Hamilton

Dorothy Jean Stidham Hamilton, age 65, of Chestnut Lane, Morehead, formerly of Ringos Mill Road, Hillsboro, passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at U. K. Medical Center in Lexington.

She was born January 28, 1957, in Springfield, Ohio, a daughter of the late Dorsey Stidham and Verna Lillian Wescott Stidham.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Danny Dale Hamilton, Sr. on June 25, 2014; a daughter, Christy Lynn Howard Hardin on July 26, 2016; two half-brothers, Jack and Charlie Stidham; and two half-sisters, Louise Caudill and Judy Morrow.

Dorothy is survived by one son, Derek Howard and wife Lacey of Flemingsburg; one daughter, Amber Burns of Morehead; one step son, Danny Dale Hamilton, Jr. and wife Amber of Hillsboro; two step daughters, Amanda Hamilton of Morehead, and Samantha Gabbard and husband Michael of Mt. Sterling; two grandsons, Alex Hardin and  Cooper Howard; five step grandchildren, MaKayla Fugate, Katrina Smith, Aaron Smith, Addyson Gabbard, and Andrew Hamilton; four step great grandchildren, Preslee Fugate, River Fugate, Lane Fugate, and Sadie Wells; one brother, Dorsey Stidham, Jr. and wife Linda of Mt. Sterling; and other extended family and friends.

She was formerly a molding technician at SRG Global and part-time clerk at Downtown BP, both in Morehead.  Most recently she was a homemaker where she enjoyed crafting, sewing, gardening, working puzzles, and especially spending time with her grandchildren. Dorothy attended the House of Prayer and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, October 8, 2022, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Evangelist Glen Day officiating.  Burial will follow at the Prince Cemetery on Maxey Flat.

Pallbearers:  Jamie Stidham, Caleb Stidham, Jordan Stidham, Alex Hardin, Caliem Hardin, Derek Howard, and Dorsey Stidham, Jr.

Visitation is from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, October 8, 2022, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY  40351.
