Donald Ray Porter

Donald Ray Porter, age 67, of Airport Road, Morehead, passed away Friday, August 9, 2024, at his residence.

Born February 3, 1957, in Morgan County, he was the son of the late Burl Porter and Eunadale Whitt Porter.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronnie Porter and Tommy Porter, and a grandson, Brantley Scott Lawson.

Donald Ray is survived by his wife of 46 years, Della DeHart Porter; three sons, Chris Porter, Daniel Porter, and Joey (Zoa) Porter; one daughter, Kayla Porter; one stepson, Jason Runyon, all of Morehead; four grandchildren, Chloe Hamm, Sophia Hamm, Tyler Smith, and Tommie Smith; several nieces and nephews; and extended family and friends.

He retired from Homer Gregory Lumber Company in 2015 and enjoyed working outside and trading knives. Donald Ray will be forever remembered and greatly missed.

A visitation of remembrance will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, August 11, 2024, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made payable to Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals to assist with funeral expenses.
